Designs and Colors from the Rainier Jubilee Party Series
On the other rainierbeercans.com page, we pictured and inventory of the great Seattle wind tunnel find of beer cans. This might be the all-time greatest find in the history of beer can collecting. Over 250 different Rainier cans have been documented from the stash that held 1000's of cans. We have pictured the complete inventory below. The wind tunnel was filled around 1955 and 1956. This means that most of the cans are from what it commonly called the Party Series of cans.
But, the wind tunnel find only included Party Series Jubilee cans from a narrow time window. In other years, the Rainier Brewery made party series cans in completely different colors. On this page, we bring you each of the 12 designs in the series with as many colors as we can find. These include cans from both Seattle and Spokane, and both Sicks Seattle Brewing and Malting, Sicks Spokane Brewery, and Sicks Rainier Brewing from both cities. The whole goal of this page is to share the wide variety of colors in the series.
How does one spot the wind tunnel cans from the others? The wind tunnel cans pictured are all missing their top. Many are missing the bottom lid also. Another giveaway, is that the wind-tunnel cans are rust free. The other cans I have included often have rust. Interestingly, there are many different colors amongst the cans found outside of the narrow band of time when cans were loaded into the wind tunnel.
