The Complete Inventory from the Great Wind Tunnel Find
These are from the famous Seattle wind tunnel find of beer cans. This might be the all-time greatest find in the history of beer can collecting. Over 250 different Rainier cans have been documented from the stash that held 1000's of cans. We have pictured the complete inventory below. The wind tunnel was filled around 1955 and 1956. This means that most of the cans are from what it commonly called the Party Series of cans.
These cans are from both the Seattle and Spokane breweries. Specifically, from Seattle there cans listed with the brewery as "Sicks' Seattle Malting and Brewing" and "Sicks' Rainier Brewing Co". From Spokane there are cans the breweries listed as "Sicks' Spokane Brewery" and "Sicks' Rainier Brewing Co.". There are cans from 12 different series.
